Lion
Bill Morrison was born in Illinois. He attended Bradley University
where he met and married Bobbie 50 years ago. They have one daughter
and one grandson living in Richardson, Texas. In Peoria, Illinois
he was a salesman and resale manager for the Cadillac dealership,
but when their daughter developed asthma they moved to Arizona 1959.
In Tucson Bill started in sales for a local utility company later
going with Rockwell in their M & U division. He retired from
there 19 years ago and moved to League City. In League City Lion
Bill worked for Utility Supply Company until he retired 9 years
ago.
Lion Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corps, he was a member of the
Presbyterian Church in Webster, the Masonic Lodge No. 1053, Scottish
Rite and Sabbar Temple, as well as the League City Lions Club.
In the Lions Club Lion Bill served as a Director as well as many
Offices. Lion Bill received "The Melvin Jones Award,"
it is the highest awards given to a Lion. He cooked at the Senior
Breakfast, worked at the Village Fair, Golf Tournament, White Cane,
Texas Children Lions Camp, as well as most of the other projects.
Lion Bill walked softly, but you would find him where ever help
was needed for all projects.
